Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma
Director: Imtiaz Ali
After a month-long tour of Europe, Sejal (Anushka) is just about to board her flight to India, when she realises that her engagement ring is lost. In quest of the object, she hires the same tour-guide Harry (Shah Rukh) and together they set off visiting the exact same spots that she and her family visited—in the hope of finding the heirloom. Of course the journey proves to be much more…
The plot is thin like wafer, which marks the typical Imtiaz Ali Movie.
It’s the routine girl is engaged elsewhere story but she discovers half-way through the film that she is actually attracted to someone else.
What makes this film watchable though is the presence of Shah Rukh and Anushka both of who are in top-form in their Punjabi and Gujarati avatars. In fact, SRK is like old wine, the more he matures, the better he loves.
The first half of the film was good, it had many humorous dialogues, romance.
The flashbacks shown in which add a background to Harry’s native Place that is Nurmahal, Punjab is eye catching.
The second half of the movie is intense. It shows How Harry needs Sejal to change him. And SRK seals it with a Kiss.
The music of the Movie is very good.
Radha raises up the mood for a bhangra dance.
Phurrr song comes and immediately touches the heart, it’s beats, music is top notch.
Raula by Diljit is classy. Jee Ve sohaneya by Nooran sisters is the best one. This song plays in the flashbacks and at the end at pre-climax. This songs gives instant Goosebumps.
SRK’s Name is enough for pulling crowds to the Theatre.
Anushka pick ups the Gujarati Accent perfectly.
Cinematography by K.U. Mohanan is breathtaking those scenic views and the exotic locations are mind boggling.
Pritam sounds way better inside the film and the BGM is in perfect sync with the arc of the story. T SRK’s charm in songs makes it more better.
Though the climax could have been more better but overall it’s a very good film.
A Must Watch.
